Gilbert's First School
Gilbert's first school, Gilbert Elementary opened in 1913. It now features computers in every classroom with Internet connections! Our first high school, Gilbert High, opened in 1913 with a new facility constructed in 1987. Our newest elementary school, Quartz Hill Elementary opened in August 2007 and Campo Verde High School opened in August, 2009. Gilbert Public Schools was proud to announce the opening of a new college preparatory school of choice in August 2007, Gilbert Classical Academy. The new Global Academy opened in August, 2011.
